Installing.
The Admin's Admin Bar is
easy to install, just un-zip / un-pack the files into one folder. [ I would suggest making a folder called 'Admin Bar' on a
USB stick, local drive or share and running it from there.]
The tool is ideal for running on startup when logging
to a PC as an Administrator.
If updating from a previous version, then just over
write the existing files.
Feel something should be added or changed

How to use the Trend Sysclean
application:
The Trend Sysclean
application is a stand-alone fix package that incorporates the Trend Micro VSAPI
Malware and Spyware scanning engines as
well as the Trend Micro Damage Cleanup Engine and Template. For the application to work correctly you
need to download the latest anti spyware pattern file [Ssapiptn.Da5
]
and the latest AV pattern file. The Admin Bar will provide links to the sites
to get these or you can simply visit http://www.trendmicro.com/download/spywarepattern.asp
& http://www.trendmicro.com/download/pattern.asp
to get them.
Once you have downloaded them, all you need to do is
unzip them in the location where you have installed the Admin Bar.
If these files are not located in the directory and
you try running the application then pop messages will be shown to you.
Note: This application also works in Safe Mode.
How to use the Custom Console Icon:
If you have a Microsoft Management Console you use,
you can launch this if you place the .msc file in the
directory where the Admin Bar is installed. Just change the name of your
console to 'console.msc' - without the quotes
How to use Psshutdown:
PsShutdown is a
utility to easily shutdown a single or group of PCs. To take advantage of this
tool on the Edugeek Admin's
Admin Bar, simply create a .txt file called 'shutdownpcs.txt' with the names of
the PCs you want to shutdown and place it in the folder you installed the Admin
Bar. When you then click on the psshutdown icon the
PCs in the txt file will perform a shutdown after 30 seconds. All the
applications will be forced to close. If a user is using the PC, then a
countdown will show on the screen in which they can cancel. For an example of
the shutdownpcs.txt, see the file ‘shutdownpcs
Example.txt’ which is in the directory you installed the Edugeek’s
Admin’s Admin Bar.

Breakdown of Admin Bar:
ZapGrab
ZapGrab is very
easy to use for capturing part of the screen.
You only have to press the button "Grab" (to
capture), select the part of the screen that you want to capture,
and that´s it! you have
captured part of the screen.
After, you can paste (ctrl+V)
the screen capture in a presentation Powerpoint, a
Word document, send it by email, or publish it.
Recuva
Recuva (pronounced
"recover") is a freeware Windows utility to restore files that have
been accidentally deleted from your computer. This includes files emptied from
the Recycle bin as well as images and other files that have been deleted by
user error from digital camera memory cards or MP3 players.
Agent Ransack
Agent Ransack is a free tool for finding files and
information on your hard drive fast and efficiently. When searching the
contents of files Agent Ransack displays the text found so you can quickly
browse the results without having to separately open each file.
Hijack This
HijackThis examines
certain key areas of the Registry and Hard Drive and lists their contents.
Autoruns
A startup monitor, shows you
what programs are configured to run during system bootup
or login, and shows you the entries in the order Windows processes them. More

When clicked, will gather some information about the
PC and stick it in notepad. I find this handy for a breakdown of installed apps

Process Explorer

VNC Viewer
If your network has PCs using VNC then having this tool

RDP
Will fire off the RDC client
software.
Delprof
Will remove all profiles from the PC you are running
the Admin Bar from. Delprof from the Admin Bar runs
with the /q /i switches.
Fpolicy
Will refresh local and Active
Directory-based Group Policy settings. The Admin Bar settings run
with the /force &
/boot switches.
WSUS Update
Will run the WUAUCLT.exe with a /detectnow
switch. This of course will only work if you are running WSUS
!! You may think nothing has happened after clicking on the icon but the
process is very quick. You can double chuck by looking at the time stand and
file of the WindowsUpdate.txt log file in the windows directory.
Log Off / Reboot
Will open up a box for you to choose either to log off
or re-boot.
X2 Explorer
2xExplorer is an ideal
dual-pane replacement for explorer, compatible with all 32-bit windows
platforms.
Event Viewer
Will launch the systems Event
Viewer.
Defraggler
Defraggler differs from other defrag tools on the
market, by enabling you to quickly and simply defrag the files you want to,
without having to process the whole drive. Simply run it, select the file and
defragment in seconds.
Edugeek Excuse
Will generate a excuse so you
can fob off the person who is bugging you. [ There are
over 450 excuses ]
CrapCleaner
Clears various temp & cache files
